TÉMOIGNAGES

  1. I am a FMS/CMPS subject and have been for the last 9 years. I am also Disabled do to this infirmity. It took 5 years for me to find a doctor that knew what I had. For those of you who are having a hard time getting a doctor to believe in your pain, see a Neurologist. They are usually more up to date on Fibromyalgia. I will be glad to try and help anyone understand this horribly cruel infirmity. I will listen.
  4. Please add my signature to your petition. Thanks. I am a fellow fibro sufferer, diagnosed by a rheumatologist over a year ago, and denied Social Security Benefits. Montana
  5. I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and currently am being discharged from the United States Air Force due to my condition. I want those out there that don't understand this disease, to finally begin to understand it!!!
  6. Je serais en faveur que la fibromyalgie soit, dans un avenir rapproché, reconnue comme maladie invalidante au même titre que la maladie du syndrome de fatigue chronique. En effet, il n'est pas évident de demeurer performant au travail avec une telle maladie.Qc
  7. After undergoing several surgeries from hysterectomy at age 27, to cubital, carpal tunnel and ulnar nerve surgery, the doctors finally concluded it was fibromyalgia. I am getting some pay through an insurance company for disability, and I work part time. The stress from the insurance company hounding me to "quit being lazy", and to "try to make life better for the family, financially, by going full time" causes the problem to "act" up. To whoever would say, "they're faking it" should live one day with the pain. I'm sure alot of sufferers send you their stories. thank you for your time to read this.
  8. Bravo, je signe volontiers votre pétition d'autant plus que je souffre de la fybromaylgie depuis plus de 15 ans !!!! Suisse
  9. Hello, I would very much like to sign your petition. I work in a lab, and I have personally watched my boss go through torture, because none of our doctors would believe her pain. They treated her as if she were a drug seeker. This was the biggest insult of all. All of us who worked closely with her, could see her pain and knew she was not faking, however all of us could not accompany her to her doctors visit. Only one of our OB-GYN doctors was human enough to listen and not judge. Thank God for Dr. Warren Overbey. He was able to diagnois her almost immediately. Good Luck in your efforts!!!!! North Carolina.
  10. Could you please respond with treatments available now. Thank you

I too at times just want to give up  because NOBODY is hearing me and what i feel and go thru each day,but then how can they? Unless you feel this pain and depression, and frustration how can someone else know? We must try to get help, I'm trying still and it seems I'm still going in circles, cause no one listens When I wake up crying (if am lucky to sleep more than 4hrs) because I am in so much pain I need to get in the bathtub w/hot water,if my daughter isn't here I don't sometimes in pain too much. 20.

  30. I enthusiastically wish to add my name to your petition. FMS/MPS sufferers should not be denied support, both financial and medical, due to the ignorance of policy-makers and doctors. The body of knowledge, just as technology, is increasing exponentially. What is believed one day is disproven the next. Too many individuals have symptoms unexplained by any other label than FMS or MPS to have the diseases pooh-poohed or ignored. These folks are NOT LIARS! Florida
  31. I support your Fibromyalgia petition wholeheartedly, as a Fibro, and myofacial sufferer for 10 yrs. I am a chronic pain sufferer and take meds every day that really don't help. sufferer of : Fibromyalgia osteoarthritis severe migrains sympathetic nerve damage TMJ constant and chronic pain mild ibs and many , many more chronic symptoms on a daily basis, which are all in one way or another associated with Fibromyalgia, Arthritis and all of the above petition mentioned Diseases and illnesses. Good Luck to us all!!!!!! New Hampshire

  33. I agree with the petition in its entirety. I am an FMS patient. It has destroyed life as I knew it rendering me to become dependent upon others instead of the self-sufficient individual I was before it's complete onset. Tn
  34. I have been suffering with fibro for 12 years. We need answers and disability benefits. Colorado
  35. 36. I am honored to be a part of this movement in this way.
  37. I WAS DIAGNOSED WITH FIBROMYALGIA FINALLY AFTER YEARS OF SYMPTOMS IN 1994. I HAD BREAST IMPLANTS IN 1987 AND STARTED HAVE SYMPTOMS IN 1989, IT WAS NOT UNTIL 1997 UNTIL I COULD GET THEM OUT. MY HEALTH HAS STEADILY DECLINED OVER THE YEARS AND I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET SOCIAL SECURITY APPROVED FOR 5 YEARS NOW. OF COURSE IT IS A WAITING GAME WITH SS, I'VE TRIED TO WORK MANY JOBS OVER THE YEARS BUT HAVE FAILED. I AM NOT THE SAME PERSON I USED TO BE AND AM TIRED OF BEING SUCH A BURDEN (MAINLY TO MY HUSBAND). IF ANYONE KNOWS OF A FM DOCTOR IN DALLAS WHO WILL HELP ME WHEN THE MDL COMES UP WITH THEIR CRITERIA LIST AGAIN I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY RECOMMENDATIONS. I LIVE IN SUMNER (PARIS) TEXAS AND IT IS ABOUT 100 MILES FROM DALLAS. IF ANYONE COULD HELP I WOULD APPRECATE IT. THANK YOU Texas
  38. I am a director of nursing for a small psychiatric hospital in atlanta ga. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and chronic myofascial pain syndrome for approximately 4 months and am currently out of work due to it's effects. I will probably have to give up my career at this point in favor of decreasing the stress in my life and modifying my activities to deal with this illness. We need all the help we can get from the medical community in recognizing this devastating illness and researching it's treatments. Georgia
  39. My sister suffers from this terrible ordeal, and I want to sign the petition. I hope that this will help all those who are afflicted with this disease. There does need to be more research done. Colorado

  41. I have a severe case of CFIDS, MCS as well as Fibromyalgia and want to sign the petition in helping to increase the awareness of this very painful affliction! Thank you for the opportunity of getting the word out on the devestation of FMS!
  42. I wish there was a way for me to emphasize the strength of my support of and total agreement with the contents of this petition. I am a 24-year-old woman who's life ambitions have been all but shattered by this disabling illness. Often the emotional pain is just as devastating as the physical pain. At the moment I am without treatment because the vast number of doctors which I have consulted over the past five years either strongly believe that it's " all in your head", has a purely psychological basis, and/or tell me that I am exaggerating my pain and that I am not disabled. As I write this, it's 1:00 am and I can't sleep because of the pain. There are hundreds of others like me who need help. I would like to emphatically add my name to this petition.
  43. I have been suffering from pain all over my body for at least the last 35 years. About a month ago I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I have spent countless $$$$$$ and I went to every doctor and specialist that my primary care physican thought I should go to see. After many test, they couldn't tell me why I was in so much pain ALL over my body. I also suffer from Migraine Headaches. I have a primary care physican who is affraid of the DEA so he will not prescribe the medicine in the quantity that it would take for a whole month, consequently I go without medicine for at least 2-3 weeks each month. I have been in 5 car accidents which were not my fault and I had to have Chemo Therepy and Radiation Therepy due to Breast Cancer. I don't know if any of these could have caused the Fibromyalgia or not. There isn't a day that goes by that I am not in pain.
